Your role


We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to assist our directors execute our strategic plan and ensure the smooth running of our firm. In this role you will wear many different hats with your primary responsibility being People and Culture, along with financial performance, process improvement, risk and compliance, IT and marketing. The ideal candidate will therefore have a strong HR background along with experience in general business management.


What you'll be doing

* Provide practical, strategic, and commercially minded advice to staff, managers, and directors on all employment matters - including performance management, disciplinary issues, pay, workplace behaviour, resourcing, and leave management.
* Act as a key point of contact for HR queries from employees and directors.
* Lead end-to-end recruitment.
* Drive annual processes such as performance evaluations and salary reviews.
* Develop and implement HR projects, contributing to strategic initiatives.
* Lead professional development across the business.
* Preparation of meaningful and timely financial reports.
* Cashflow management.
* Oversee annual business plans including (HR, Marketing, budget) to support the delivery of the strategic plan.
* Make recommendations and implement improvement in consultation with Directors.
* Management and implementation of projects.
* Oversee and maintain governance and risk management frameworks.
* Monitoring and lodgment of annual obligations eg TPB annual declaration, business insurances.
* Oversee brand management ensuring the brand represents the firm's values, culture and services.


What we're looking for

* Formal HR qualifications with HR experience across employee relations, recruitment, and HR operations
* Strong people skills
* Proactive and solutions-oriented approach
* Experience with or complementary skills in a professional services environment
* Ability to balance attention to detail with practice-wide oversights).
