About the role
Surelift Crane Hire is seeking experienced Crane Operators, Riggers and MC & HC Truck Drivers to join our team in Moranbah, Queensland. You will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of our cranes and transport fleet, supporting our mining and construction clients in the region. These are full-time positions based in Moranbah.
What you'll be doing as a Crane Operator / Rigger:
* Operate cranes of various sizes and capacities to lift and move materials and equipment at client sites
* Perform pre-operational checks and maintenance on cranes to ensure safe and reliable operation
* Work closely with Riggers to plan and execute complex lifts, ensuring loads are properly secured and moved safely
* Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures to protect yourself and others on site
* Collaborate with the site supervisor and other team members to coordinate crane activities and meet client deadlines
* Maintain detailed logs and records of all crane operations and activities
What you'll be doing as a MC/HC Truck Driver:
* Operate heavy commercial vehicles to transport various materials, equipment and supplies to job sites
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness and safety
* Adhere to all relevant road traffic rules and regulations, as well as Surelift's internal safety policies and procedures
* Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles as required
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes and driving hours
* Provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in your field, ideally within the mining or construction industries
* Hold a valid High Risk Work Licence for the operation of the relevant crane classes
* Valid Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi Combination (MC) driver's license for relevant truck driving jobs.
* Excellent understanding of crane safety protocols and rigging techniques
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle unexpected situations
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
* Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
* Meticulous in the detail of care, maintenance and cleaning for our equipment and fleet.
* It is vital that you excel in communication skills and demonstrate a proactive approach to working with others and contributing positively within our team.
