About The Role
The Duty Manager controls day-to-day operations of all staff and fleet at the Airport, coaching counter employees, managing team members, and overseeing vehicle flow in the car park and wash. This busy, critical role requires strong leadership, customer service focus and the ability to adapt to changing conditions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and manage the shift team through sales coaching and mentoring.
Market Avis Budget products to customers, maximising sales opportunities and meeting sales goals.
Ensure vehicles for rent meet company standards for cleanliness, mechanical/body condition and roadworthiness.
Check returned vehicles for body damage and report as necessary.
Work efficiently in a team environment, fostering a culture of service excellence and achieving organisational goals.
Resolve conflicts and disciplinary issues in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
Roster and schedule employees to match business needs.
Meet Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Client Service Incentive (CSI) targets.
Participate in recruitment and selection of new staff.
What We Are Looking For
Previous supervisory or leadership experience with strong coaching and mentoring skills.
Demonstrated understanding and use of customer service and sales techniques.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety.
A full driver's licence and flexibility to work a rotating roster.
