**The Client**
Our client is a publicly listed Australian Property Group and as a result of growth, they are seeking a Retail Asset Manager to join the team. Reporting to the Head of Asset Management in this busy role you will be responsible for ensuring the success of each shopping centre within the portfolio including asset management, marketing, property management, facilities management and managing external property partners.
**The Role**
This role develops and implements strategies for each centre focusing on risk identification and mitigation, retail planning and asset enhancement and long-term sustainable income streams.
Key areas of focus include budgeting and forecasting, arrears management and oversight of marketing, property operations and leasing input.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Development and implementation of asset strategies that enhance and/or protect the asset
- Overseeing & approving the asset marketing strategy, budgeting and forecasting
- Supporting income growth and stability resulting in sustainable returns for investors
- Management of external property/facilities managers to ensure compliance with their obligations and KPI's
- Supporting the Leasing Executives in the negotiation of leases in the property portfolio
- Establishing & maintaining effective partnerships with various retail partners
- Ensuring maintenance of the Property Management System
- Controlling original title and lease document security storage

- Demonstrated capability in quick and logical decision making
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliverables at once
- Proficient in financial leadership - budgeting and forecasting across NOI and capital
- Experience in asset planning, valuation or long-term budgeting
- People leadership experience as the role will be indirectly leading a significant team of property managers
- Experienced in negotiation and commercial dispute resolution
- Demonstrated strategic capability, ideally in business planning, retail planning, valuation, or asset planning
- Willing to travel - expected travel requirements likely to be one week per quarter
- Strong understanding of property finance fundamentals and investment metrics
