Internal Recruiter
Full-time | NSW based (Campbelltown), hybrid or remote considered
We are building a stronger in-house recruitment function and are looking for an internal recruiter who can own hiring outcomes, not just run tasks.
This role sits within an internal Talent Acquisition team and is responsible for end-to-end recruitment delivery across multiple states. The bulk of hiring is frontline support workers, with clinician recruitment experience highly regarded, alongside smaller volumes of office roles across the year.
If you are comfortable with pace, accountability, and improving how recruitment actually works, this role will suit you.
What this role exists to do
* Deliver consistent, quality hires in a high-volume, operational environment
* Reduce reliance on agencies by building direct, repeatable recruitment capability
* Partner with hiring managers to improve role clarity, decision-making, and outcomes
* Lift recruitment standards across speed, quality, and candidate experience
This is a delivery role. You will be trusted with ownership and expected to produce results.
What you will own
* End-to-end recruitment across multiple states, from intake to offer acceptance
* High-volume frontline recruitment, approximately 10 to 20 hires per month
* Recruitment for clinicians and office roles as required
* Role scoping and job advertising, including improving briefs where needed
* Direct sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management
* Ensuring all compliance requirements are met prior to onboarding, including NDIS screening and WWCC
* Improving recruitment processes and tools as the function matures
There is no existing ATS. You will help shape how recruitment systems and workflows evolve.
How you will work with hiring managers
* You will work directly with operational leaders
* You will ask better questions to get clearer briefs
* You will challenge unrealistic timelines or poorly defined requirements when needed
* You will be expected to balance speed with quality, not trade one for the other
This role requires professional judgement and calm influence, not order-taking.
How success is measured
* Time to fill, with a clear focus on reducing delays
* Quality of hire, measured through retention, performance feedback, and fit
* Reduced agency reliance over time
* Consistent, compliant onboarding outcomes
Activity alone is not success here.
What we are looking for
* Proven experience delivering end-to-end internal recruitment
* Comfort managing volume without cutting corners
* Experience hiring frontline or operational roles is strongly preferred
* Confidence working across multiple stakeholders and locations
* Strong judgement, organisation, and follow-through
* Willingness to improve processes rather than work around broken ones
You do not need to come from the NDIS sector, but you must be comfortable operating in a regulated environment.
What this role is not
* Not a sourcing-only role
* Not an agency-style CV forwarding role
* Not a sales environment
* Not a role with heavy hand-holding or micro-management
If you prefer narrowly defined tasks or external recruitment metrics, this will not be a fit.
What the first 90 days look like
* First 30 days: understand the business, roles, compliance requirements, and hiring managers
* By 60 days: fully own live roles and deliver consistent hiring outcomes
* By 90 days: improve speed, tighten briefs, reduce friction, and be trusted as a hiring partner
If you are an internal recruiter who enjoys pace, ownership, and building something properly, we would like to hear from you.
Salary expectations will be discussed during screening.
