Position Purpose
The Territory Business Development Manager – Turf & Ornamentals is responsible for promoting, developing, and coordinating Envu's product portfolio within the assigned territory to optimise market share. The role drives growth through execution of the T&O strategy, identification of business opportunities, market segmentation, and digital engagement.
Key Responsibilities.
Strategic Execution
* Implement the T&O "Focused Products" strategy within the assigned territory.
* Develop and execute a territory business plan based on market intelligence, customer segmentation, product positioning, and competitor insights.
* Focus on key growth opportunities to achieve annual sales targets.
* Customer Segmentation
* Apply customer segmentation strategies to:
* Drive base business growth
* Identify new customers and opportunities
* Deliver targeted customer experiences
* o Allocate resources effectively
Digital Engagement
* Utilise CRM insights and analytics to anticipate customer needs.
* Create targeted communications (e.g., segmented eDMs) to generate demand.
* Maximise CRM to improve customer loyalty and retention.
* Business Development
* Identify opportunities for existing products to add value to customers.
* Proactively develop and implement plans to capture new business opportunities.
* Drive adoption of new products while maintaining growth in established lines.
* Build and strengthen relationships with consultants, distributors, industry bodies, and key influencers.
Territory Management
* Maintain accurate sales forecasts using market, environmental, and competitive data.
* Manage budgets and optimise resource allocation.
Key Relationships
* Internal: T&O Sales Team, Technical Support, CRM Support, other business units as required
* External: Customers, agents, distributors, contractors, consultants, industry bodies, key influencers.
Qualifications & Experience Essential:
* 1+ years' experience in sales, business development, turf management, or account management (T&O segment preferred)
* Strong technical, product, and market knowledge
* Proven sales and business development achievements
* Commercial acumen and negotiation skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
* Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities
Desirable:
* Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Agronomy, Horticulture, Business)
