Group operations will guide AusNet to rapidly mature and provide outstanding strategic-level technical and operational capabilities, whilst ensuring cross-business coordination and collaboration. It will also provide strategic procurement & supply chain delivery to the Group
As a member of the Emergency Management Team, the Emergency Preparedness Specialist collaborates and coordinates cross-organisationally to further enhance our ability to prepare for, respond to and recover from disruptive events that escalate to an incident and/or crisis.
This role ensures that AusNet emergency management infrastructure, systems and teams are prepared, available and ready.
The role is based in Melbourne and is part of the Emergency Management Team within Group Operations.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
o Overseeing the end-to-end coordination of the AusNet Incident Management Team Program, including rostering and readiness.
o Working with Regional and Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committees as it relates to emergency and risk planning.
o Developing and maintaining enterprise emergency management plans, procedures and processes.
o Collaborating and consulting with lines of business to ensure a consistent and integrated approach to emergency management.
o Supporting emergency management governance arrangements.
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
o Tertiary qualification or formal training in emergency management, or another relevant field would be advantageous, particularly:
o Course in the Australasian Inter-Service Incident Management System
o Facilitate Emergency Planning Processes (PUAEMR021)
o Coordinate Resources for a Multi-Agency Incident (PUAOPE017)
o 3+ years demonstrated industry experience (in a critical infrastructure sector and/or emergency management type role)
o Emergency management experience including development and maintenance of plans and arrangements
o Operating in an emergency management function including State and Commonwealth legislative and regulatory requirements
o Experience in coordinating a roster with lines of business, teams or departments, including maintaining a model of cover and adherence to a payment policy
o Technical knowledge or understanding of energy transmission and distribution networks will be beneficial
