Candidates with experience in growth area Councils are preferred. The role is fully office based, no option to work from home.
1. Review and approve the road and drainage plans, and other strategic documents submitted for approval for staged subdivisional development projects.
2. Provide the response to planning applications referred from the Planning Department in relation to infill development and subdivision projects.
3. Process Service Authority referrals and Land Access Activity Notices (LAAN).
4. Assist in developing and implementing engineering aspects of Integrated Water Management systems within all major township development projects.
5. Attendance in projects Pre-Commencement and Practical Completion inspection meetings.
6. Work as a team member including assisting other staff members.
Ability to deliver in demanding and pressured situations Ability to gain co-operation from customers, members of public, other employees/departs in the pursuit of specific/set objectives. Ability to solve technical problems, undertake original investigations Exercise initiative/judgement in the provision of specialist advice and use creativity Good knowledge of the town planning & subdivision processes High level of Communications skills including written, verbal, negotiating, facilitating and consultation The minimum qualification will be a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering. Understanding of engineering road & drainage design, construction techniques.
