About the Position
As the Director, you will lead, inspire and mentor educators to ensure the service is providing high‐quality early childhood education in a remote Aboriginal community. You will oversee the operations of the centre, support and warmly welcome children and families, and act as the nominated supervisor and educational leader. Your ability to recognise and develop the strengths of children and the team, and your commitment to the One Tree Community Service's spirit, purpose and values, will be key to your success.
Responsibilities
* Lead, inspire and mentor educators to deliver high‐quality early childhood education.
* Oversee centre operations, including staff and family engagement.
* Act as nominated supervisor and educational leader.
* Foster a culture that meets the organisation's code of ethics and policies.
Selection Criteria
* Exceptional organisational skills including time management, scheduling and resource coordination.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Commitment to comply with the organisation's code of ethics, vision, policies and to support its culture.
* Experience building successful relationships with staff, families and the community.
* Experience managing staff, including performance management, recruitment and appraisals.
* A commitment to continuous improvement and efficiency in service delivery.
* Knowledge of relevant state and Commonwealth laws and regulations.

* Above‐award hourly rate.
* Remote allowance: $3.55 extra per hour.

Qualifications / Requirements
* Eligible to work in Australia and willing to relocate to Kowanyama.
* Diploma in early childhood or ACECQA approved equivalent.
* Current Queensland Working with Children Check.
* Satisfactory National Police Clearance.
* Valid driver's licence.
* First Aid & CPR certificates or willingness to obtain them.
