Our client is a well-established transport and logistics provider with a strong reputation for service excellence. Due to growth, they are seeking experienced Forklift Operators and General Hands to join their newly established Sunshine Coast depot in Caloundra. These roles offer consistent ongoing casual work within a safety-focused and fast-paced environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Previous experience in freight handling, warehousing, or transport operations
* A strong commitment to WHS and safe manual handling practices
* High physical fitness with the ability to perform repetitive lifting and manual tasks
* A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability
* Ability to work unsupervised and meet tight deadlines
* Good communication skills and a team-first mindset
* Forklift Operators: Current LF licence and sound knowledge of load restraint
* Highly desirable: Local knowledge of the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas
Day-to-Day Duties
You will be working within a busy depot environment, supporting freight operations and ensuring freight is processed accurately and safely. Duties may include:
* Sorting parcels by postcode, destination, and delivery branch
* Manual loading and unloading of parcels from pallets, trucks, cages, and conveyors
* Loading and unloading freight onto conveyor belts
* Stacking and wrapping pallets efficiently for linehaul loading
* Completing and maintaining parcel processing records and required documentation
* Safe loading and unloading of trucks and trailers (forklift roles)
* Working closely with your team and supervisors to meet daily schedules
* Escalating any safety, process, or operational issues as required
