About the OpportunityHatchit Studios is seeking an experienced Change and Communication Specialist to support a major IT and business transformation initiative within a leading federal government agency.
This role will focus on designing and delivering change management and communication activities that support the successful rollout of new systems, data platforms, and operational processes. The successful consultant will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership to translate complex IT change into clear messaging, training, and adoption strategies.
The role operates in a high-performance program environment, requiring strong organisational skills, stakeholder engagement capability, and the ability to deliver high-quality outputs under tight timelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and deliver change management and communication strategies supporting IT and analytics initiativesConduct change impact assessments and develop adoption plans aligned to program milestonesPrepare executive briefings, governance papers, and program communicationsTranslate complex technical changes into clear, audience-appropriate messagesCoordinate training and capability uplift activities to support workforce readinessWork closely with program managers, delivery teams, and stakeholders to align communications with implementation timelinesManage competing priorities while maintaining quality outcomes in a fast-paced delivery environment
Skills & Experience RequiredDemonstrated experience delivering communications and change management for IT or digital transformation programsStrong understanding of structured change management approaches (e.g. ADKAR, PROSCI, or similar)Experience translating technical or data platform changes into business-focused messagingProven ability to develop executive-level communications, briefing papers, and governance materialsExperience coordinating training, adoption, and capability uplift activitiesStrong stakeholder engagement skills across technical teams, executives, and operational areasAbility to work effectively in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
