Contract Management Specialist
Rate: $60 - $70 per hour + Super
Contract: 3-month contract, with a strong potential for a 12-month extension
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Contract Management Specialist to join the Procurement Business Unit at a local council.
This role is crucial for ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and driving value for money outcomes across the organisation's contract activities.
Key Focus Areas
Act as the organisation's subject matter expert on contract management.
Actively contribute to the establishment and management of the Council's Contract Management System (CMS).
Monitor contract activities to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate potential risks.
Provide specialist advice to stakeholders, including the Procurement Manager and Coordinator.
Develop contract management intelligence to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience Required
Degree or diploma in procurement, law, commerce, or a related field with several years of relevant experience; or extensive experience with lesser formal qualifications.
Demonstrated experience in contract management, preferably in a service delivery environment.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder influence.
Proven ability to manage time, set priorities, and work effectively within a collaborative, dynamic team environment.
Preferably experienced with Readytech / open windows
