Getting older can mean giving up a lot, your home, your routine, your sense of independence. We don’t think it should.
With more than 800 team members and 200 volunteers, we’re here to help people keep living the life they love, with reliable in-home and community care, a local team who knows the neighbourhood, and the kind of support that always has time for a cuppa and a chat.
And we look after our team the same way. We offer real support, meaningful recognition, and rewards that reflect the difference you make every day.
What you will be doing
- As a Community Registered Nurse, you’ll be part of a warm, grounded clinical team that shows up with compassion, skill, and a genuine commitment to making life better for people in their own homes.
- This isn’t hospital nursing. It’s local, mobile, and personal. You’ll meet with customers in their homes, assess their needs, and provide preventative, holistic care that fits around their life, not the other way around. You’ll also keep clear, thoughtful records that help us stay on the same page and deliver consistent support.
- You’ll have the flexibility to plan your own schedule, with admin time at our Gympie office, from home, or a co-working space. This role is offered on a Permanent Part-Time basis, 3 days per week (45.6 hours per fortnight).
You will Thrive in this role if you
- Are someone who sees the person behind the care plan. You’re calm under pressure, curious about better ways to help, and ready to make a real difference in your community. You’ll also have:
- A tertiary qualification in Nursing and current AHPRA registration
- Experience and strong interest in supporting people who are ageing
- Clinical skills across assessment, wound care, medication support, continence management, and more
- Confidence working independently and managing your time
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset, especially when working with a multidisciplinary team
- Confidence with technology and attention to detail when documenting care
- A valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle you will use for work
- First Aid, CPR, and a National Criminal History Check (or are happy to get)
Belonging Starts Here
We believe real care starts with real belonging. That means creating a workplace where everyone - no matter their background, culture, or story - feels seen, respected, and secure to be themselves.
We welcome applications from First Nations people, the LGBTIQA+ community, people with disabilities, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds. Your story matters here.
