Pembroke School is seeking a compassionate, capable and student-centred Registered Nurse to join our highly regarded Student Wellbeing team. Working within a dynamic school environment, this role provides professional medical care, promotes student health and safety, and supports the wellbeing of our diverse school community. With two dedicated Health Centres and a large cohort of day and boarding students, this position plays an essential role in delivering contemporary clinical practice in an educational setting.

Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding School from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Renowned for academic excellence and a broad, inclusive program, Pembroke offers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and is also an International Baccalaureate World School, offering the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Primary Years Programme (PYP).

About the Role

The School Registered Nurse delivers high-quality first aid, clinical assessment and health support across Pembroke. The role manages day-to-day operations of the School's Health Centres, maintains accurate records, contributes to wellbeing initiatives, and collaborates closely with staff, families and external providers to ensure safe and coordinated care for students.

Key Responsibilities Include:

* Administering first aid, clinical care and medication in line with School policy.
* Managing Health Centres, medical supplies and accurate, confidential health records.
* Monitoring chronic conditions and high-risk medical needs, including diabetes and anaphylaxis.
* Liaising with parents, staff and leaders to coordinate medical management plans.
* Supporting boarding students with assessments, medication and follow-up referrals.
* Preparing medical forms, supplies and handovers for camps, excursions and trips.

About You

You are an experienced and confident Registered Nurse who thrives in fast-paced, people-focused environments. You combine clinical capability with warmth, empathy and excellent communication, enabling you to support students of all ages with professionalism and care. You are organised, calm under pressure, committed to best practice, and enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

You will bring:

* Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and current AHPRA registration.
* A minimum of five years post-registration experience (paediatric, general practice, or emergency desirable).
* Strong clinical knowledge, including chronic condition management and adolescent health.
* Experience implementing medical management plans and medication protocols.
* High-quality documentation skills and confidence with student/health management systems.
* Outstanding interpersonal, communication and active listening skills.
* Strong judgement, confidentiality, resilience and a compassionate, solutions-focused approach.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a wellbeing-focused team.

Required for Employment

* Current Working with Children Check (South Australia)
* Current Plink RRHAN-EC training: Masterclass and Fundamentals (including Protective Practices)
* First Aid and CPR
