Job Title: Full Time- Cook / Chef

Location: Unit 6/1 Fairhall Street, Coombs ACT 2611

Salary: AUD 77,000 – AUD 80,000 per year

With a commitment to fresh ingredients and innovative culinary techniques, we are looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join our team and contribute to delivering memorable dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

The Cook/Chef will be responsible for supporting all day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, quality, presentation and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

* Menu planning and developing innovative dishes.
* Supervising and coordinating the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations.
* Monitoring food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards.
* Ordering supplies, managing stock, and controlling food costs effectively.
* Training, mentoring, and supporting junior kitchen staff.
* Ensuring compliance with hygiene, food safety, and occupational health regulations.
* Preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes with creativity and consistency.
* Collaborating with management and front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service.
* Skills & Experience Required.
* Proven experience as a Cook / Chef (minimum 3 years preferred).
* Formal culinary training or relevant certifications are highly regarded.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
* Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* A passion for innovation and a willingness to adapt to evolving menu trends.

Skill & Experience

* Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Cook or Chef in a professional kitchen

* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail

* Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety standards

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

* Ability to follow recipes and presentation standards consistently

* Strong time-management and organizational skills

* Understanding of food hygiene and sanitation regulations

* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if required
