About the role
* Lead the Commercial and Advisory Law Reform team.
* Research complex legal/policy issues and prepare submissions.
* Attend stakeholder meetings and represent the Law Society's position.
* Lead and support a group of policy committees (e.g. Property, Privacy, Employment, Litigation, Business, Environment and Planning), including agendas, papers, reports and liaison with practitioners and staff.
The ideal candidate
* Strong experience in legal policy, law reform or related advisory work.
* Proven people management experience and ability to lead a small team.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skill.
* Strong research, drafting and analytical skills.
* Ability to manage competing deadlines and drive outcomes.
