About the role:
DTI are currently seeking a Payroll Advisor on a max-term contract through to December 2026 for parental leave coverage. The Payroll Advisor is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing end-to-end payroll, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and agreements. They provide payroll reporting, resolve employee queries, and contribute to payroll projects and process improvements.
This position can be based in North Sydney NSW, Milton QLD or Perth WA.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing end-to-end payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Maintaining up-to-date employee payroll records.
* Collaborating with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
* Prepare payroll reports for internal stakeholders and external bodies as required.
* Address payroll-related queries from employees promptly and professionally.
* Assist as required on payroll related projects & improvements.
* Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee information.
Preferred Experience
* Previous experience in a payroll advisory position.
* Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including Fair Work Act, Superannuation Guarantee, PAYG withholding, and state-based taxes.
* Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work within a national team environment.
