 
        
        Job Description
We are seeking an experienced mental health nurse to join our team as a specialist nurse for our deaf services. The ideal candidate will have highly relevant clinical knowledge relating to deaf services and be trained in British Sign Language (BSL) level 2 or higher, or have relevant lived experience of BSL.
The successful candidate will work closely with the director of nursing and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive effective, safe specialist care and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
 * Define, shape, and develop our deaf service across all sites, including community settings.
 * Practice autonomously at an advanced level to provide expert advice, guidance, and support to patients and staff.
 * Support the development of our deaf service practices and service provision.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
 * An experienced registered mental health nurse with current NMC registration.
 * Education to Master's level or equivalent in the relevant area of practice.
 * A strong track record of achieving improvements for patients through service transformation involving staff, patients, their families, and other stakeholders.
