Overview
Are you an experienced IT Systems Trainer or Instructional Designer looking to play a pivotal role in a generational technology transformation? This 12-month opportunity allows you to shape the future of network operations by ensuring employees are equipped to confidently operate new, world-class systems. You will work within a dynamic, cross-functional team to translate complex technical information into engaging, high-quality learning resources that drive meaningful outcomes for a modern energy future.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop high-quality learning content and support materials, including system user guides, process flows, and quick reference guides using adult learning frameworks like ADDIE.
* Synthesise technical information from various sources such as Vendor materials, Azure DevOps Wikis, and User Stories to create accurate training resources.
* Collaborate with Product Owners, SMEs, and Business Analysts to understand the functional aspects of the new system
* Prepare and package training content for diverse delivery methods, including face-to-face sessions, online modules, and self-help platforms.
* Support Train-the-Trainer activities and provide expert guidance to business trainers during deployment and post-go-live \"hypercare\" phases.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Technical Communication, IT, or Engineering, or significant proven experience in training content development and delivery.
* Demonstrated experience producing learning documentation for complex software systems, specifically for audiences with varying technical capabilities.
* Direct experience working with SCADA, EMS, or similar control systems within the energy or utilities sectors.
* Proficiency in interpreting technical content from User Stories, Wikis, and code walkthroughs to create clear, instructional material.
* Strong documentation skills using the Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with platforms like Azure DevOps or Confluence.
