About the Role
Pius X Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a committed and experienced Director (Nominated Supervisor) to lead Kiah Preschool, commencing at the start of Term 2, 2026. This full‑time role provides an opportunity to guide a culturally strong, community‑focused preschool dedicated to supporting Aboriginal children and their families in Moree.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the daily operations of Kiah Preschool, ensuring a safe, culturally strong, high‑quality learning environment.
* Provide professional leadership, supervision, and mentoring to teachers and educators.
* Oversee the delivery of high‑quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
* Ensure full compliance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations and National Quality Standards (NQS), including maintaining the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
* Build strong, respectful relationships with families, community members, and partner organisations.
* Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognised Australian university (or currently working towards one).
* Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience in a preschool or early childhood setting.
* Extensive knowledge of Child Protection legislation and responsibilities.
* Thorough understanding of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and proven experience working within the National Quality Standards.
* Current knowledge and experience with Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) and the Accreditation process.
