Community Engagement Specialist Role
We are seeking an experienced Community Engagement Specialist to manage development activities for a portfolio of projects. The successful candidate will lead community and stakeholder engagement, ensuring the successful development and delivery of renewable energy projects.
* This role involves working independently and collaboratively with development and construction teams to deliver results as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will have direct experience with a project developer, utility, energy or infrastructure business performing community and stakeholder roles.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Manage relationships with communities, key stakeholders, and first nations communities in collaboration with development and construction teams.
* Develop and implement engagement strategies and social action plans for key stakeholders and communities.
* Lead stakeholder engagement including meetings programs, responding to consultations, stakeholder mapping, and community events.
* Clinch coaching and support development and delivery teams in engaging communities and stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
* Demonstrated track record in influencing effective community engagement program design and delivery.
* Hands-on experience in the development of onshore utility scale renewable energy projects in Australia.
* Strong communication skills to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* A degree (or equivalent) in an environmental, engineering, planning, or science-based subject with excellent project management skills.
