About The Role
We are currently seeking Carers to join our care team at one of our well-established facilities offering beds with ensuites.
We offer a homely atmosphere that provides comfort to residents, including those living with dementia who require specialised support.
We are committed to delivering high-quality care and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
The successful candidate should be available Monday to Sunday to work on a casual basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care assistance to residents such as bathing, dental hygiene, dressing, grooming, and other personal needs.
* Support residents in maintaining or restoring their independence by assisting with activities of interest and mobility aids as needed.
* Document accurate and timely information, reporting relevant details to Nursing, Allied Health, and Management as required.
* Maintain effective workplace communication, demonstrating respect, openness to change, and kindness.
* Assist with medication administration in accordance with facility policies.
Key Requirements
* Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care (desired).
* Experience working within an aged care setting as a carer.
* Able to relate to elderly customers with empathy and collaborate effectively with health professionals, service providers, and case managers.
* Able to interpret individual care plans and provide tailored care to meet individual goals.
* Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.
* Understanding of cognitive strategies, social interaction, and meeting the mental and emotional health needs of residents.
