With our continued growth, Guma-Warnii is currently undertaking multiple projects for Rio Tinto across the mining and construction sectors.
We are currently recruiting for an Earthworks Supervisor experienced in Team Management in a Civils Project Environment to join our ongoing Project at Rio Tinto's West Angelas minesite on a 2/1, days only roster
Our scope of works are currently Earthworks NPI & Civil Construction on Iron Ore Mine sites with multiple projects under way, and others in the pipeline. The initial project involves bulk and detailed earthworks and associated civil works on a Client site where we are completing one project and ramping up for further. Due to the nature of the initial Project, we are focusing on hiring a Supervisor with strong Earthworks experience.
Our Project Values are ranging from $5m-$50m, working mostly on Tier 1 Iron Ore Mine Sites. This role is an Project Term Contract commencing ASAP. We have multiple projects in the Pipeline also for long term employment potential.
Due to a number of factors pertaining to Medical, Training & Travel logistics, we are targeting WA based applicants only.
Responsibilities:
* Manage, liaise with, and manage staff, sub-contractors and suppliers, by suitably selecting, evaluating, monitoring, and controlling performance and meeting of deliverables.
* Manage and coordinate machine maintenance and associated registers.
* Plan for, implement, monitor and adhere to policies and procedures, of both the company and the client, and all other stakeholders as required.
* Convey various construction information to company management including statistics, budget information, personnel and sub-contractor performance, and contribute to company strategic plans and reviews, and implementation of company quality and customer-service standards.
* Resolve problems and identify construction management system improvements.
* Meet construction budgets and timeframes through implementation of suitable controls, monitoring, managing, and reporting.
* Understand the contract, scopes of works, engineering specifications and drawings, and identify variations under the contract to any of the commercial and/or technical requirements.
* Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by ensuring standards and any legal regulations are complied with.
* Enhance the companies reputation by exploring opportunities to add value to projects and communicating this with clients.
* Seek out, communicate, obtain approvals for change, and implement various improvements in methodology to improve on project safety, quality, budget, and timeframe.
* Provide planning and logistical support.
* Participate in various company improvement forums, ie lessons learnt, procedural reviews etc.
* Networking and representation of the company to promote/nurture future business prospects.
* Other project related duties as required.
Pre Requisite Requirements:
* Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar environment supervising projects in bulk earthworks, roads (new & maintenance), camp/office pads, trenching etc
* Preferably hold a valid HR Licence (C Class minimum)
* Must hold a current White Card
* Preferably hold current Rio Inductions
* Hold a National Police Clearance within 12 months
* Section 44 Appointed Persons qualification, Section 26 advantage
* Quality Computer & technology competency as well as communication skills
* Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel)
* Ideally familiar with Procore, Dashpivot, Smartsheet and MyOSH
* 4WD Ticket (or willing to attend course)
* Willing to undertake and pass Pre Employment Medical & LABDAS
