Based at our second Australian site in Kemps Creek (Western Sydney), this role will see you join our team of Electro-Mechanical Technicians and Equipment Operators within our brand-recent (and fully air-conditioned!) automated distribution center. With construction well underway, we are now looking for passionate and energetic individuals to join our Preventative Maintenance Teams as Electro-Mechanical Technician on a permanent, full-time basis. Our technicians work 10pm to 6am - Sunday to Thursday - enjoying Friday and Saturday nights off. Hourly rates from $37.69 - $48.25 ph dependent on experience and qualifications, plus applicable shift loading.
**About you**:
Fully qualified Electricians and Trade qualified Mechanics.
A genuine interest in automation and technology, with the aptitude to learn new concepts and procedures.
Previous experience maintaining material handling systems in a manufacturing environment, distribution center, field service or a related technical role
Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
Undergo internal 8-week automation electro-mechanical training during 'day shift' hours with a transition to night shift upon completion no later beginning Sep 24.
Meet the physical requirements including:
Frequent walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time.
Working at heights of up to 30 metres (wearing fall-arrest gear and other PPE)
Lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 25kgs unassisted
**Your current role**:
Working night shift full-time as part of a cross functional team you'll support operations by ensuring that the system is optimised, responding to faults, up skilling operators, and consistently seeking continuous improvement opportunities. On any given day this may include:
Preventative maintenance, monitoring, operation, fault correction, and housekeeping of automated material handling equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and computer systems issues and escalate as appropriate.
Coach and mentor, the production team to increase their knowledge.
Effective execution of all maintenance related activities
Investigate and resolve system material flow issues.
Facilitate continuous improvement activities through broad system knowledge and site-specific enhancements.
