Job Description
The Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Team delivers a multi-disciplinary service to support consumers requiring treatment, support, and education related to AOD use.
This role provides a central point for all AOD referrals, offering pathways into treatment services, brief intervention, bridging support, and waitlist management.
The focus is on providing seamless treatment and support pathways, coordinated services, and harm reduction interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a central point for all AOD referrals
* Initial treatment contact, providing pathways into treatment services
* Brief intervention, bridging support, and waitlist management
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Social Work or Community Services
* Experience working within the AOD sector or completion of the AOD skillset
* Demonstrated understanding of the social model of health
* Excellent interpersonal skills and capacity to communicate effectively with stakeholders and consumers
* Knowledge of AOD individual and group treatment practices, especially harm reduction principles
