About The Role
We are seeking an Architect / Senior Architect to contribute to the delivery of high‑quality Defence projects within our Perth Studio. In this role, you will undertake detailed architectural and technical work with minimal supervision, supporting efficient project delivery and positive design, team, client, and financial outcomes. You will lead or assist in managing key aspects of project delivery, including resourcing, coordination, and collaboration with internal teams and external consultants.
You will support Project Leads and Principals in the development of design concepts from briefing through to concept and detailed design, prepare advanced‑level documentation and presentations, and assist with procurement and construction delivery. You will also contribute to a collaborative studio culture by demonstrating Architectus values and supporting junior team members.
About You
You are an experienced design professional who thrives in both technical detail and broader project delivery. You combine advanced design and documentation skills with the ability to lead aspects of project coordination, client communication, and team collaboration. You are self‑sufficient in managing your work, while also contributing to the success of the wider team.
You Will Have
* 5+ years post graduate experience, preferably registered and Defence experience.
* Advanced knowledge of design principles, building materials, construction methods, codes, standards, and regulations.
* Strong proficiency in Revit, Adobe Suite, 3D software, Microsoft Suite, AMS and NewForma.
* Advanced design and documentation skills across all Defence project stages.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey design intent.
* Proven ability to manage time, priorities, and delegated tasks with minimal supervision.
* Experience working collaboratively in a team environment, with the ability to guide and support junior staff.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development, staying current with industry knowledge, standards, and best practice, and actively seeking feedback and mentoring.
