Animal Referral Hospital Homebush is seeking an experienced, Medicine Veterinary Nurse to join our growing specialist team.
Our Medicine service manages a diverse and challenging caseload, providing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic care across a wide range of complex medical conditions. Supported by two Internal Medicine Specialists and one of the few feline‐only Medicine Registrars in Australia, you will work alongside highly experienced clinicians while delivering exceptional nursing care to referral‐level patients.
In This Role You Will:
* Provide advanced patient assessment and monitoring
* Administer blood products, chemotherapy, and specialised treatments
* Manage feeding tubes and nutritional support plans
* Provide nursing support for advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures, including ultrasound, CT, MRI, and endoscopy
* Coordinate patient care alongside Specialists & Emergency teams
* Maintain high clinical standards and accurate medical records
* Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration, and teamwork
About You
You are an experienced Veterinary Nurse who is confident in managing complex medical patients and enjoys working within a fast‐paced referral environment.
You will bring:
* Previous Referral Medicine nursing experience
* Strong patient assessment, monitoring, and clinical reasoning skills
* Experience managing complex medical patients and advanced nursing treatments
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast‐paced clinical environmentA commitment to exceptional patient care and high clinical standards
This role would suit a nurse who enjoys taking ownership of their patients, contributing to case discussions, and working alongside Specialists to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Applicants must have previous experience working within a Referral Medicine Service.
