About the Program
The Maternity Services Education Program (MSEP) is a Victorian Department of Health funded initiative provided by the Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne. MSEP has facilitated pregnancy care and maternity emergency education across rural and regional services for over 17 years. Our vision is to improve clinical outcomes for women and babies through the provision of interdisciplinary education, supportive partnerships and capacity building in rural and regional services.
About the role
Our major areas of focus are; pregnancy care, maternity emergency education and Koori Maternity Services (KMS). We liaise with the following groups; Department of Health, Safer Care Victoria, Professional Colleges, La Trobe University, AHPRA, PIPER, Ambulance Victoria, Victoria Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO) and KMS.

MSEP aligns with key objectives for the National Maternity Services Plan 2010, the Royal Women's Hospital strategic plan 2020, and DoH clinical governance framework 2018.
