Cargo Operations Manager Job Overview
This leadership role oversees the entire cargo delivery process, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness and quality of our services exceed company standards and client expectations.
Effective leadership and strategies will be implemented to achieve goals and motivate staff through coaching, mentoring and performance feedback.
* Lead client-centric operations including management, organisation and coordination of all work areas during day of operations.
* Manage and develop team members through coaching, mentoring and performance feedback.
* Engage significant stakeholders and ensure SLAs & quality targets are met.
* Communicate goals and expectations clearly to employees and provide regular feedback for ongoing improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement communication plans and business strategy to drive customer-centric culture.
2. Implement effective rosters and budget management for highly effective, cost-efficient and quality business outcomes.
3. Lead GSE operations including cost controls, maintenance program and delivery service plan.
4. Develop and implement business processes and standard operating procedures ensuring compliance to regulations, industry standards, legislation and policy.
5. Provide quality metrics and reporting on critical business issues.
Essential Criteria
* Leadership experience with customer-centric orientation and ability to drive service culture.
* Demonstrated experience in cargo operations, freight or warehousing and senior management level.
* Expertise in IATA Cargo Handling Procedures and Regulations, airline quality management systems.
* Well-developed communication skills, written and oral, and excellent presentation skills.
