The Role

The Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems (MIWS) Branch acquires, delivers, and sustains complex mission and support systems to provide capabilities to Defence. MIWS operates within a fast paced and dynamic working environment - always busy, never dull, and no two days are the same.

To support the complex capabilities MIWS delivers to Defence, we are seeking professional APS 5 Integrated Logistics Officers (ILS) to be part of our team.

As a Logistics Officer in MIWS, you will:

* Use expertise in the broad ILS disciplines to provide reliable professional advice on a range of acquisition and sustainment challenges.
* Work closely with all ILS disciplines to ensure mission and support system supportability outcomes are met.
* Use outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills to work with integrated teams across Defence and Industry.
* Work with the Combat Systems Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) Analyst to test spares optimization outputs and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) assumptions.
* Use Defence ERP systems to create and review Assembly Parts List (APL)'s for Combat systems equipment and ensure the update of Naval Allowance database (NAVALLOW).
* Be responsible for the integration of the Recommended Provisioning list (RPL) and Outfit Allowance list (OAL) into the Whole of Ship (WoS) support system.
* Develop and maintain Configuration Management Tool (CMT-U) baseline and coordinate the integration with the WoS baseline.
* Liaise with both external (Defence and industry) and internal (MIWS) combat systems suppliers to ensure fit for purpose technical data is delivered.

MIWS Branch under Major Surface Combatants and Combat Systems Division is an exciting and complex environment to work in. We work across both Acquisition and Sustainment environments to develop and deliver products into new shipbuilding programs and to provide update/upgrade products to the existing Royal Australian Navy (RAN) fleet.
