We're looking for a qualified and experienced Lead Educator to join our passionate team across a variety of roles within the centre.
What You'll Do
As a Lead Educator at Fireflies Early Learning Centre, you will:
* Create, implement, and evaluate engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) that support each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
* Foster a nurturing space where children feel confident, curious, and empowered to explore and grow.
* Guide and support educators and assistants, cultivating a collaborative, respectful team culture focused on continuous learning and improvement.
* Partner with families and local networks to enrich learning outcomes and ensure open, meaningful communication about each child's progress.
* Maintain accurate, insightful documentation of children's learning journeys, using this to inform planning and share with families.
* Uphold the highest standards of care, safety, and professionalism, ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), workplace health and safety regulations, and centre policies.
* Contribute to the development of centre policies, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and help shape the evolving vision and philosophy of Fireflies.
What You'll Bring
* A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher).
* A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* A genuine passion for inspiring and supporting young children.
* A valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and First Aid Certificate.
