We're looking for a passionate and reliable Full time Cook to join our team at Stellarossa Parkside
About the Role:
As our cook, you'll be responsible for preparing a variety of meals with care, consistency, and pride alongside with the head chef. Our kitchen is open to customers, so being clean, tidy, and hygienic is always essential. You'll be working closely with our friendly team to deliver quality food in a warm, welcoming environment.
What we're looking for:
• Minimum 12 months relevant work experience as a Cook/Chef
• Must have a qualification in Commercial cookery (Minimum of Certificate III)
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• A commitment to cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Must be available to work at least one day on the weekend.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, season and cook a range of menu items in accordance with business recipes and service standards.
• Undertake food preparation tasks including portioning, marinating, and assembling ingredients for service.
• Assist in planning menus and preparing daily specials in consultation with management.
• Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain portion control and minimise food wastage in line with kitchen cost-control procedures.
• Inspect and rotate stock to ensure freshness and proper storage of food supplies.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen in compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.
• Work effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely preparation and service of meals.
