An opportunity has arisen for a permanent part time Clinical Nurse Specialist within HIV at Croydon Sexual Health Centre (CSHC)
CSHC is situated in purpose-built premises on the acute hospital site. It is fully integrated with contraception and sexual health delivered from the ground floor and HIV on the 1st floor.
In addition, CSHC operates a specialist psychosexual service and specialist training.The post holder will work within the multi-disciplinary team providing care for patients for HIV.
The individual will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the department while having a commitment to teaching
Main duties of the job
1. To work as part of the HIV Clinical Nurse Specialist team, to ensure that all patients testing positive for HIV have equitable access to investigations, treatment, and follow-up care.
2. To work as part of the HIV Clinical Nurse Specialist team and undertake the care of people living with HIV including undertaking complex care.
3. To work with the teams to develop appropriate guidelines and pathways to enhance optimal management of patients.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
4. Registered General Nurse
5. 1st Level Degree or equivalent
6. Master's degree or equivalent
7. LEO or other leadership course and evidence changing practice
8. Training in Counselling
9. Non-medical prescribing and Physical Examination on the Adult patient.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
10. In depth knowledge & understanding of HIV & sexual health, including anti-retrovirals.
11. Health Promotion
12. Research Awareness
13. Research Module
EXPERIENCE
14. Significant 1st level post registration experience, including at Band 6
15. Significant experience in the relevant speciality
16. Ability to work autonomously
