The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Registered Nurses (Specialist Medical Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Act as a resource person for other staff, patients and families
* Actively participate in a quality portfolio and promote team work
* Display excellent communication skills
* Exhibit competence in the relevant clinical skills required for the unit or, a willingness to work towards relevant skills
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
* Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
* Permanent part time and Temporary part time (several part time positions, hrs negotiable).
* Base salary ranging from $ $53.53 per hour

The Specialist Medical Unit (SMU) provides a diverse range of medical services for Robina Hospital. SMU Robina consists of 24 single rooms and has the additional capacity to provide for fixed cardiac monitoring, respiratory isolation and bariatric specific care. Specialist Medical Unit sits within the division of Medicine.
