Transport Clients to Health Appointments
This is an ongoing, long-term position where you can make a positive impact in your community by transporting older and vulnerable people to their non-urgent health appointments.
* Commit to a regular rostered shift on weekdays using vehicles.
* Be willing to participate in mandatory training and e-learning modules.
* Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, assist with mobility aids, and provide a safe, courteous, and respectful transport experience.
* Engage with clients, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to established work practices.
The Impact
As a patient transport volunteer, you'll help remove one of the biggest hurdles to care—transportation—enabling clients to attend appointments that keep them healthy and independent. You'll gain fulfillment from making a difference in someone's day, engaging with diverse communities, and being part of a team that delivers aged and community care services.
We're looking for dependable volunteers who can relate to and empathise with a range of people, including those from different cultural backgrounds and life experiences. If this opportunity resonates with you, we encourage you to apply.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You'll also need to be comfortable operating vehicles and assisting clients with mobility aids.
