Senior Manager - EY Finance - CFO Advisory
Opportunity
As our Senior Manager in our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team you will work with a wide range of clients on a broad range of issues that matter to their businesses. These will include middle‐market businesses through to some of the world's largest companies. You will assist our clients as they experience significant changes, including preparing for significant transactions (both sale and purchase), assisting with preparing for financial audits or audit remediation.

You will utilize your problem‐solving and creative thinking abilities to deliver practical, hands‐on support, guidance, and solutions to help our clients navigate their financial accounting and reporting challenges.
These are hybrid positions based in Warrag (Sydney) and Naarm (Melbourne). Roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
* Lead all engagement aspects: planning, stakeholder management, commercial outcomes, risk management, and team development (coaching and mentoring).
* Collaborate with clients on various engagements, including assessing the impact of accounting standards (AAS, IFRS) on their business and providing practical implementation solutions.
* Work as part of the client's deal team throughout the transaction lifecycle, offering insights on accounting impacts for IPOs, equity/debt raising, acquisitions, divestments, and due diligence.
* Support post‐deal implementation for accounting and reporting matters and contribute to practice strategy development and execution.
* Drive business development through professional networks and prepare and deliver proposals.
Skills and attributes for success
* CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
* A degree in accounting and/or another appropriate academic major.
* A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience.
