About this role
As an established Private Equity team with a targeted growth plan we are looking for an experienced Senior Associate to join our Cairns Team. Focussed on fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusion, this team is passionate about everything they do and will support you in following your chosen pathway within Business Services.
Key responsibilities
Understanding how to grow our clients' business means you will get involved a broad range of activities, including:
* Prepare financial statements, tax returns and compliance reports (BAS, FBT, payroll tax) and support tax and accounting advice for private businesses, high net worth families and corporate clients, with optional international exposure.
* Support the design and implementation of commercial structures to help clients achieve business and personal goals.
* Collaborate with the Private Business team locally, nationally and internationally to deliver proactive solutions.
* Build strong client relationships and keep clients informed of compliance requirements.
* Participate in business development activities throughout your career to build your portfolio and specialisation.
Skills & experience
Your passion for understanding your clients' businesses will see you go beyond addressing technical issues to developing actionable growth recommendations. This role will suit someone with the following skills, experience and attributes:
* Experience in a professional services firm working with family groups, private businesses and high net worth individuals.
* Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation across a broad range of entities and individuals.
* CA or CPA qualified with a solid finance or accounting background.
* Motivated to enhance and elevate the firm's service offering.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders.
* Flexible, adaptable and innovative approach to complex problem solving.
