FIIG has a varied technology stack, which helps us scale our business within both the front and back office. Between these systems, there are a number of complex business processes & integrations which need to be monitored, managed, and improved to ensure no outages or core business issues.
Role Overview
The role of the Data & Application Operations Analyst at FIIG will be responsible for:
* Monitoring and managing production issues related to data integrity and integration
* Performing triage on incoming tickets or alerts, identifying root cause for issues
* Non-Functional performance Issues
* Functional Defects in Production Code
* Reviewing Logs
* Data Integrity Investigation Queries
* Implementing Hotfixes across various databases
* Environment Management and Database Administration
* Assisting Business with Data Extracts and Reports
The key to this role will be understanding not only the technology that composes the business, but the business processes themselves in order to accurately debug and identify faults causing issues for the business that need to be resolved.
Full training will be provided to bring them up to speed and gradually introduce them to FIIG's full technology stack over time.
What Will You Be Doing
You will be expected to perform the following tasks and responsibilities in a manner consistent with AUSIEX's Values of Listen, learn, grow, Lead with passion take the initiative and Collaborate to innovate.
Responsibilities
* Monitoring and managing production issues related to data integrity and integration
* Performing triage on incoming tickets or alerts, identifying root cause for issues
* Resolving non-functional performance issues
* Resolving functional defects in production code
* Reviewing system logs
* Investigating data integrity queries
* Design, implementation & testing of hotfixes
* Environment Management and Database Administration
* Assisting the business with data extracts and reports
* Performing developer operations and management of lower environments to ensure they are reflective of current state production and operational for Application Developers to build new features for upcoming releases.
* Working on upcoming features for release to test and production environments
* Providing accurate estimates for assigned work to project managers
Essential Skills
* An understanding of software development methodologies.
* Knowledge in SQL Server database querying and programming.
* Experience in using software development tools such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code and Microsoft SQL Management Studio.
* T-SQL query performance tuning.
* Working with enterprise process automation tools such as Active Batch.
* Version control experience using GIT
* RESTful APIs utilizing .NET Core (C#) Framework and knowledge of microservice architecture is desirable but not essential
Qualifications
* Must be undertaking or have completed a Bachelor of Information Technology specializing in database and/or software development or equivalent.
* Previous experience within financial services is desirable.
