This position will initially be focused on the delivery of two bridge-sized culverts near Port Macquarie along with the development and delivery of upcoming bridge and slope projects all over Northern NSW. You will be part of a high-performing and supportive team. Lead the development and execution of bridge maintenance and slope stabilisation projects within Northern NSW. Oversee project delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality benchmarks. Ensuring contracts and contractors are effectively managed to meet project objectives. Manage project development including project briefs, cost estimates, designs, environmental assessments and ensuring compliance with procedures. Prepare, manage, and administer contract documentation, including technical specifications, to facilitate seamless project execution. Implement robust cost management strategies to maintain financial accountability and project viability. Champion workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout all phases of the project. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth and efficient execution. Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to align project outcomes with business and community expectations. Work a flexible 35-hour week Monday – Friday in accordance with Transports flexible working conditions. Applicant must also be willing to work some nights/ weekends/ overtime as required. Travel around Northern NSW to visit worksites.For more information, please view a copy of the role description and the information pack.About You Experience in road, bridge, slope stabilisation and traffic infrastructure construction, including materials, equipment, and industry best practices. Proven experience in project planning, cost estimation, scheduling, and developing comprehensive management plans for WH&S, quality, environmental, and traffic requirements. Strong capability in managing direct control workforces and contractors to deliver high-quality construction and maintenance projects. Extensive knowledge of contract administration, procurement processes, and contractor management. Proficiency in leveraging digital tools and project management systems for efficient execution and reporting. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or related) from an accredited Australian institution or an equivalent international qualification. Valid Australian driver’s license with flexibility to work onsite and travel as required. Commitment to professional development, with progression opportunities aligned with the Transport for NSW Professional Engineer Development Program.
