At Fitness Cartel Health Clubs, we're more than a gym – we're an exciting and fast‑growing brand with plans to expand to 60+ clubs by 2030. Our state‑of‑the‑art facilities include Cycle Studios, Reformer Pilates, cafés, a crèche, and saunas, creating a feel‑good environment that motivates, challenges, and inspires.
The Role: In this highly important role, you'll be the first face our members see when they enter the Club. You will assist them with heartfelt, professional service, ensuring every interaction is electric. This diverse role involves greeting members, answering phones, making protein shakes, and selling retail products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet everyone and serve customers at the front desk and café.
* Answer calls, handle queries, listen to complaints, and direct members to relevant managers if necessary.
* Use the computer and various software systems to look up member details, create access key tags, process purchases, and assist members with booking classes.
* Assist parents with booking their kids into Kid's Cartel where needed.
* Learn about our supplement and apparel range and execute sales to members.
* Perform café duties, including using a coffee machine and making protein shakes.
* Maintain venue cleanliness, ensuring the reception/café area is neat, the supplement shelves are stocked, and apparel is displayed properly.
* Perform opening and closing duties in a timely manner.
* Follow directions, prioritize, and complete tasks efficiently.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you'll need to succeed:
* Previous customer service experience with excellent communication skills.
* A "can‑do" attitude with a thirst for learning and ambition for growth.
* A passion for health and fitness, and eagerness to work in the industry.
* Reliability, proactivity, punctuality, professionalism, and a well‑presented appearance.
* A strong work ethic.
* Initiative, high motivation, adaptability, and the ability to multitask.
* Computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems.
* Ability to communicate and uphold policies and procedures of the business to customers and staff.
* Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).
* Flexibility to work hours suitable for gym operations (shift schedules provided in advance).
* Australian working rights.
