An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Property Maintenance Officer to join our team at Living Choice Woodcroft.
Who You are
The position of Property Maintenance Officer is a hands-on role reporting to the Property Maintenance Manager, ensuring a customer-focused maintenance service is provided.
This role requires accountability, autonomy, flexibility, and a positive approach. If you are organized, solutions-focused, and take pride in your work, this position is for you.
The role is full-time, based at Woodcroft, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Some attendance at other villages may be required.
This role will suit someone who is:
Experienced in property maintenance and gardening, able to work independently or within a team, maintaining safe work practices.
Responsible, reliable, punctual, and able to communicate confidently and respectfully with residents, visitors, staff, and external service providers.
Possessing sound relationship management and organizational skills, with broad experience in trades.
Key Responsibilities
* General maintenance of the property, buildings, and grounds within the village.
* Minor handyman repairs, plumbing, painting, and property maintenance work.
* Preventative and routine maintenance as per schedules.
* Maintain cleanliness of the maintenance and gardening workshop, ensuring tools and equipment are in good order.
* Inventory control of plant and equipment.
* Compile and attend to maintenance requests based on priority.
* Coordinate and assist external contractors.
* Attend to grounds and gardens as per schedule, including perimeter clean-up, graffiti removal, and cleaning vacant apartments/units.
Minimum 2 years relevant experience in repairs, maintenance, with some gardening experience. Ability to work independently and in a team, with flexibility and a positive attitude. Excellent time management and the ability to see tasks through to completion. Ability to coordinate and supervise tradespeople. Understanding of WHS requirements. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Customer service experience working with older adults is desirable. Must pass a police check, undertake a Senior First Aid course, and hold a valid driver's license.
