About the role
Lifestyle support workers (LSW's) play a vital role in supporting recipients to live their best life – empowering individuals to build confidence, work towards their goals and improve their mental wellbeing. You will work one‑on‑one in the homes and communities of our recipients to support them to live as independently as possible. Tasks include helping with house cleaning, organising, preparing healthy meals, maintaining a yard, and encouraging positive choices. A key part of the role is supporting recipients to improve confidence accessing the community and engaging in activities that help achieve their goals. You will also provide transport to and from activities such as shopping, gym, social events and appointments.
About you
* Clear and effective communication skills
* Computer literacy and accuracy in record management
* Experience working in a team environment
* Ability to problem solve
* Ability to follow policies and procedures at all times
* Ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals
Role requirements
* Current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland driver's licence
* Currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive vehicle
* Current nationally recognised First Aid and CPR certificate (or ability to obtain)
* Positive Notice Working with Children (Blue Card) (or ability to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
