Vocal Teacher Opportunities – Online & In-Person @ The House of Voice (HOV)
We are currently seeking degree-qualified vocal teachers to join our growing team, teaching voice both online and in person, across individual and group classes for TERM 1
You would preferably be starting in the week of: 27th January (Quick Start)
Availability:
* We require afternoons (until evening) for 2 days (can grow if desired) on Mondays and Fridays with ability to be flexible with the right candidate for a day adjustment (eg. Thursdays or Saturdays)
* Availability for one omore additional day

About The House of Voice
At The House of Voice, we nurture every aspect of musicianship through specialised programs that support all ages, levels, styles, and backgrounds. Our approach is holistic, skill-driven, and deeply human — focused on developing confident, expressive, and well-trained artists.
Our teaching team is made up of graduates from leading Australian music institutions, including WAAPA, VCA, and University of Melbourne, across Bachelor, Honours, and Masters programs but also other institutions such as Monash University, Sydney Conservatorium and Queensland Conservatorium. Qualifications & Training Required
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
* Bachelor of Music (required)
* Preference for graduates of:
* Melbourne University / VCA (Voice)
* WAAPA Musical Theatre Program (Voice)
* Other qualifications will be considered if methodologies and philosophy align
* Demonstrated development across multiple vocal methodologies
* Teaching qualification is beneficial (but not mandatory)
* Proven teaching experience is essential
* Experience teaching both individual and group classes

Teaching Requirements
You must be able to teach:
* Complex and well educated vocal pedagogy for all styles for both beginner to intermediate students of all ages
* Music theory, aural skills, and basic notation
* Performance skills for:
* Auditions
* AMEB exams
* Competitions
* Gigs
* House of Voice performances throughout the year
* Vocal techniques and stylistic fundamentals for:
* Jazz
* Pop
* Rock
* Indie
* Soul
* R&B
* Musical Theatre
* Classical
Additional Skills (Desirable)
* Experience with music software such as:
* GarageBand
* Ableton
* Sibelius
Other Requirements
* A valid Working With Children Check is required before commencing
* You may occasionally be asked to assist with:
* Ensembles
* Mid-year and end-of-year performances
