Bush Fire Brigade volunteers play
a significant role in helping to keep their local communities safe. Members are
trained and equipped to respond to bushfire incidents, support prevention
initiatives and work alongside other emergency services when required. This is a rewarding opportunity

**Key Responsibilities**
* Contribute to bushfire prevention, preparedness
and response activities
* Support the brigade in operational and
non-operational duties
* Maintain a strong focus on safety and teamwork
* Represent the brigade professionally within the
community
**Key Tasks**
* Respond to bush and scrub fire incidents when
available
* Undertake local fire prevention activities and
hazard reduction support
* Assist with community education and engagement
initiatives
* Regularly attend brigade meetings and training
sessions
* Inspect and maintain brigade equipment and
facilities
* Support other emergency service agencies as
required
