The Position
:
1. Oversee and assist with food production and menu-based catering
2. Manage the kitchen operations in a safe and efficient manner
3. Maintain a high standard of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness
4. Bulk cooking, including functions and events
5. Oversee Rostering, procurement, stock control and other administrative duties related to a senior chef position
6. Successfully mentoring and developing a kitchen team including kitchen hands, cooks and chefs
The Person:
7. Minimum Cert III Chef trade qualification
8. An understanding of Café style food advantageous
9. Highly organised and energetic hands on leader
10. Passionate about healthy and nutritious eating with food safety and allergen management compliance.
11. Experience in function work and large volume kitchen preferable
12. Confident in OH&S regulations, food safety & HACCP compliance
