We're seeking a Tax Manager to lead our tax compliance and advisory activities, supporting business-critical decisions and ensuring full alignment with Australian tax regulations and international standards.
Based at our Nambour corporate office, this is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with part-time option available.
What you'll be doing: Lead the preparation, review and lodgement of tax returns including income tax, GST, FBT and payroll tax Deliver accurate tax effect accounting and deferred tax calculations for financial reporting Provide clear, commercially-focused tax advice across a broad range of business transactions Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and internal stakeholders to resolve complex tax matters Drive continuous improvement in tax processes and controls, with a strong focus on compliance What sets you apart: Previous experience in Big 4 or corporate tax, including MEC groups, tax consolidation, and deferred tax CA/CPA qualified with a Commerce or Accounting degree Deep knowledge of Australian tax law, ATO guidance, and IFRS/Corporations Act compliance Strong Excel skills and ERP system experience (ideally JDE/Oracle) Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused with excellent communication skills Nice to have: Commercial experience in the mining or heavy industries Exposure to US GAAP standards This is a high-impact role suited to someone who thrives on challenge, enjoys working closely with senior leaders, and wants to help shape tax strategy in a major Australian mining services business.
