About the Role
The primary role of this position includes:
* Providing a high quality, professional reception & switchboard service as the first point of contact for clients, their families and visitors;
* Liaising effectively with clients and visitors from varied cultural backgrounds while using empathy, tact and discretion;
* Undertaking associated administrative support work;
* Maintaining extensive contacts with employees, medical and professional experts and members of the public;
* Unlocking front doors each morning and closing at 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Requirements
Selection Criteria:
* A minimum of a Certificate 2 in Business Administration or a minimum 1-3 years of experience working in a similar role;
* Excellent work ethic with impressive time management skills while working under minimum supervision;
* Excellent communication skills which can be delivered in all forms;
* Professional dress code and present a positive, courteous, welcoming and professional image;
* Previous experience using a multi-line switchboard;
* Demonstrated capacity to handle difficult and/or distressed callers diplomatically;
* Experience in using MS Office Suite packages;
* Ability to support and train less experienced staff including trainees or work experience students as required.
