HR Co-Ordinator / Administrative Role

HMA WEAR SOLUTIONS

Join a Global Market Leader …

The HMA Group is a dynamic engineering and services company that specialises in the supply of wear resistant linings, material handling equipment, boiler cleaning equipment and maintenance services, instrumentation, and valving solutions. Our solutions support a wide range of industries including mining, industrial, petrochemical, oil and gas, process, power generation, water, and wastewater.

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic person to be our HR Coordinator supporting our national operations. This is a permanent part-time (or reduced hours per day) opportunity, with flexibility to work around school hours. You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day people processes across the employee lifecycle and partnering with leaders to ensure a positive employee experience.

We value work-life balance and understand the needs of working parents and carers. This role offers genuine flexibility, with part-time hours or reduced daily hours available to fit around school drop-off and pick-up times (to be agreed with the successful candidate and the team).

The Role

* HR Administration: Provide accurate and timely HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, changes, and offboarding), ensuring records are complete and compliant.

* Recruitment Support: Coordinate end-to-end recruitment administration including job ads, screening support, interview scheduling, reference checks, and candidate communication.

* Onboarding & Inductions: Prepare employment documentation, coordinate pre-employment checks, set up induction plans, and liaise with payroll/IT to support smooth commencements.

* HR Systems & Reporting: Maintain HRIS/employee files, update organisational records, and assist with HR reporting (headcount, turnover, leave and compliance reporting as required).

* Employee Support: Be a first point of contact for general HR queries, escalating matters appropriately and ensuring a professional, confidential and service-focused approach.

* Policies, Compliance & Improvements: Support HR processes and compliance activities (e.g., training records, policy acknowledgements), and contribute to continuous improvement of HR administration and employee experience.

Skills and personal attributes for success in this role:

* Previous experience in HR coordination/administration (or a similar role) with exposure to recruitment, onboarding, and employee records desirable

* Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with employees, leaders, and external candidates.

* High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.

* Systems capability: Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel). Experience with HRIS/ATS systems is highly regarded.

* Sound judgement and a solutions-focused approach, with the ability to follow processes and know when to escalate.

* Collaborative team player who enjoys supporting others and contributing to a positive workplace culture.

* Flexibility and reliability to work consistent part-time hours, with the ability to align working days/times around school hours (by agreement).

* Australian work rights are required for this position.

Join our supportive and professional team at HMA Group, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to a positive employee experience and the ongoing growth of our operations. If you are an organised and people-focused HR professional who values flexibility, we invite you to apply for the HR Coordinator position.

Please submit your resume and a short cover letter outlining your relevant experience, your preferred working days/hours (e.g., school hours), and why you believe you would be a great fit for this role.

Appropriate remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant (commensurate with experience and agreed hours).

Application (cover letter and resume) required via SEEK.
