What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Director of Medical Services, the Deputy Director of Medical Services is responsible for enabling the safe, effective and efficient delivery of medical services, primarily at Coffs Harbour Health Campus, but potentially elsewhere in the Coffs Clinical Network. The Deputy Director of Medical Services main focus is managing the junior medical workforce and assisting with complaints management, safety and quality and access and flow strategies.
This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Eligibility and Qualifications
* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a specialist medical practitioner, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators or working towards the same, other appropriate specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialist (State) Award that is additionally supported by post graduate qualifications in management.
* Demonstrated experience of clinical leadership and management at a senior level inclusive of medical administration, medical workforce, professional practice, clinical governance, medical ethics, clinical teaching and leadership and change management, including managing health financial, activity and reporting systems.
* Sound knowledge of contemporary health issues, rural healthcare priorities and reform agendas within the NSW Health system.
* Demonstrated high level interpersonal communication (both verbal and written) and negotiation skills at all levels of the organisation.
* Knowledge, understanding and commitment to EEO, ethical practice, Aboriginal Health, and other relevant statements and priorities as they relate to the position.
* Hold a current Drivers Licence and the ability to travel regularly for work purposes.
* Participate in the Coffs Clinical Network Executive On-call roster.
