Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on commercial transport, heavy vehicle trucks, and trailer equipment.
The role involves working as per repair order instructions, advising the workshop foreman of any additional work required, documenting all work performed, and ensuring customer vehicles are left in the same condition they were received.
The successful candidate will also supervise apprentices, communicate with parts departments, and participate in dealership and service department meetings.
Key responsibilities include:
* Performing repairs and maintenance on commercial transport, heavy vehicle trucks, and trailer equipment
* Working as per repair order instructions
* Advising the workshop foreman of any additional work required
* Documenting all work performed
* Ensuring customer vehicles are left in the same condition they were received
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A trade certificate in truck mechanics
* A driver's license equivalent to the role (car, light duty, truck, and agriculture)
* Technical knowledge relevant to your qualification specifications
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
